Tembo Trunks are the first collapsible earphone amplifiers designed for iPod shuffle, iPod nano & iPod classic. Using horn acoustics, Tembo Trunks amplify the music from your iPod’s ear-buds up to 80dB of clarity-enhanced stereo sound (3x the regular sound).
Tembo Trunks don’t use batteries or drain power like external speakers or docking stations. By using Tembo Trunks you will get much more battery life from your device than you would from your internal speaker (with the added benefit of amplified, clearer, stereo sound). With no cables, chargers or converters, Tembo Trunks will amplify your music anywhere and anytime (indoors or outdoors). All you need is an iPod and the ear-buds that came with it.
The Tembo Trunks are light, small, flexible, stackable and virtually indestructible – they’re 100% waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof; they’re speakers that aren’t really speakers. The idea was born after Mike and Scott Norrie travelled through Africa while being frustrated at not being able to kick back with some tunes during night in the Veldt.
