Wesley Townsend Kitten | The City Video

Wesley Townsend Kitten photography brings us a beautiful, time-lapse video of San Francisco which took him 14-months to complete.  The project started sometime in June of 2010 and was completed on August 19, 2011, and is called “The City.”  The project started as a way to photograph San Francisco in a different way, because of the staggering amounts of still photography over its long history. Wesley Townsend Kitten estimates that he has spent approximately 250 to 300 hours of work over the year period; the film includes 28,000 frames and 85 different shots, with most places filmed around the city mostly without the help of a car. Some of the shots may appear shaky, and that is because San Francisco is a very windy city and even his heavy tripod couldn’t remain still. Enjoy!
